Description:

The Karuko Archaeological Hall and it’s recreation of a Jomon-era hut reveals the history of Japan’s ancient Jomon period (13,000 to 300 B.C.E). Artifacts here were unearthed at the nearby Kamegaoka Archaeological Site and have made a considerable impact on the perception of the culture and life of the Jomon people.

Getting There From Goshogawara City, head West on Route 101 towards Ajigasawa. Several lights after Kashiwa Jusco turn right on Route 241 at the light with Asahi Dome. At the second light, turn left onto Route 245. Proceed through the lights in downtown Kizukuri and you will see Tsugaru City Hall on your right hand side. Karuko is located on the same grounds directly next door.
