Description:
This protected swimming area is a great place to enjoy the water of the Sea of Japan without having to worry about waves and surf. Popular with families and sunbathers alike throughout the summer.
NOTE:
Strong currents are characteristic of the Dekishima area, especially in the off-season. White signs with red lettering will be posted in the parking area should swimming be prohibited.

| Getting There | Follow Route 101 west towards Ajigasawa. Shortly after the Morita Roadside Station “Earthtop,” turn right at the stop light with the Lawsons onto Route 12. Follow this north towards Shariki, and turn left onto Route 185. Follow this road through several rice fields, after which it will head up into a small community. You will soon pass a small Shinto shrine with its characteristic red gates on the right hand side. Shortly after the shrine, a narrow road will go off to the right leading to the beach area. |
