Description:
Once the boyhood home of one of Japan’s most famous authors, Osamu Dazai, this museum is now dedicated to showcasing his life and works. The ornate residence and its fifteen plus rooms blend Japanese and Western styling and can be enjoyed even by visitors who have no interest in the author himself.

| Getting There | Head north on Route 339 away from Goshogawara City and towards Kanagi. As you near central Kanagi, There will be a light with a driving school, police station, and community center on the left hand side. Veer right at this light onto Route 2/101. Follow this into downtown Kanagi and you will soon see the Shayokan on your right hand side. | ||
