Description:
This museum introduces the history and traditions of the Tsugaru Shamisen, a unique version of the traditional Japanese shamisen (three-stringed lute) that got its start in the local area. Ear-defining power and fast, improvisation based rhythms define the unique playing style, which can be heard during live performances several times each day.

| Getting There | Head north on Route 339 away from Goshogawara City and towards Kanagi. As you near central Kanagi, There will be a light with a driving school, police station, and community center on the left hand side. Veer right at this light onto Route 2/101. Follow this into downtown Kanagi and you will soon see the museum on your left hand side across from the Shayokan. | ||
